Occasional rituals for worshipping Goddess Mangala Devi

Panchamritabhisheka : During the Shravana masa ( between 28th July and 30 th August ) . ( Every day at noon ) During Dhanurmasa ( between 16th December and 13th January ) special pooja is performed followed by regular pooja )
Laksha Deepostsava : On Karteeka masa Bahula Navami ( comes between November 16 and 29 th November )
Vasantha Pooja: ( Pooja during spring season i.e., May. During this season goddess is worshipped with offerings of fruits and juices. On Sauramana Yugadi day ( comes between April 13th and 15th ) Vishukani pooja is done in front of the Simhamukha Simhasana )
Navarathri Festival : The festival commences on Shudda pratipade of Ashweeja masa (comes in between last week of September and 5th October) and lasts for nine days. During these days Kalpokta pooja is performed from the day of MoolaNaksatra till Navami. On the Navami day Chandika homa, Ranga pooja and Car festivals are performed. [ In the morning Vijayadasami devotees bring paddy ears, place them before the image of Goddess and offer worship take them home to place them at home ( Mane tumbisuvudu )
Vidyarambha : On Vijayadashami day there is facility for parents to initiate their children to the process of education.

Car festival with pageantry, worship at Shamikatta are the special attractions of this day. The Navarathri festival concludes the next day. The Navarathri festival concluedes the next day Avabruta at the place of confluence of the rivers - Netravathi and Phalguni (uppinakote)

The day Annual festival at the Mangala Devi temple takes place during Kumba masa ( comes between February 13 and March 14 )

Nemotsava to Parivara Daivas in performed after the conclusion of the temple festival.

Details of the important Sevas (offerings / services) to Goddess Sri MangalaDevi

Offering of Sese ( Offering rice seeking blessings ), Saree, blouse, Drusti ( offering replice of eyes made of metals ) etc.
Prasad : Placing of 21 scarlet flowers (Kepula) on different parts of Devi's image. The falling of flowers the right hand side of the image portends success and the falling of flowers from the left handside of the image portends failure. Falling of the flowers from the middle portends mixed results. The priests do not manipulate the result.
Tulabara : The devotees weigh the materials they intend to other equal to their body weight. This is done in front of the image and offered as a service.
Pramana : The devotee who intends to take solemn oath in the name of Mother Goddess takes bath on the bank of the Nethravathi river at the place called Gorakdande and comes to the temple in wet clothes. He then comes to the Balikallu ( Sacrifice stone ) and puts out the light burning on it, three times uttering the words of oath. From that moment onwards he gets no prasadam or Theertha from the temple. If he recants and offers the panalties seeking pardon he deserves the favour of Theertha and Prasadam.                        There is also provision for mediation and settlement in the event of a change of mind on the part of the oath taker. The temple authorities have the right to settle such disputes.
Archanas ( Worships) : Dwadasha nama, Astothara, Trishati, Sahasranama. Vermilion is offered to the Goddess chanting the holy name is stipulated counts.
Holy reading or Parayana : Lalitha sahasranama , Devi Mahatme
Karthika pooja : Worship of Devi with Deeparadhane.
Durganamaskara :Conducting of Durga Pooja during the night pooja.
Pushpanjali pooja : Offering flowers chanting the thousand name of Mother Goddess.
Naivedya : Food offering to Goddess - Pudding and Panchakajjaya.
Panchamrithabhisheka : Abhisheka to Goddess - bathing with Panchamritha.
Placing the image of Goddess in a Palanquin and taking rounds to the temple.
Worship with flowers.
Decorating the image with all the Jewellary and performing the worship (Alankara pooja )
Worshipping in the above mentioned way with flowers.
Ranga Pooja (Small ) : Performing the pooja lighting 24 rows of lights.
Ranga Pooja (Big) : Performing the pooja lighting 64 rows of lights.
Car Festival : Placing the decorated image and placing it the small temple car and taking it round the temple.
Depositing Rs 1000 /- in the temple and performing a day's pooja on behalf of the depositors.
Teertha snana : Bathing the idol with wather filled in copper containers.
Rudrabhishekha : Bathing the idol with the chanting of Rudra sukta.
Naga Tambila : Worshipping Lord Subrahmanya with Panchamrithabhisheka.
Offering service to Daivas of the temple.

(Wedding and Upanayana ceremonies are conducted in the temple )

There is provision for worship of Lord Ganesha in the form of offering Panchakajjaya, performing of Gana Homa and Rangapooja etc.
